As a Data Scientist / Analyst you’ll be one of the driving forces behind our data-driven activities and play a key role in further establishing the experimentation culture within METRO Markets as well as come up with actionable “So What”s.

You’ll have a strong focus on closely working with cross-functional teams across the company, identifying opportunities for experimentation, developing hypotheses, and providing actionable insights. Furthermore, you’ll have the chance to discover interesting and meaningful patterns in our data - whether data is big or small data, coming from experimental or non-experimental setups, from databases or surveys, and even images or text.

Your responsibilities

Design and implement experiments to test hypotheses and measure the impact of changes using advanced statistical methods techniques to identify causal effects in both observational (quasi-experimentation) and experimental data.
Dive deep into our data and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Be a key partner for our various stakeholders on data and experimentation topics within METRO Markets.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in experimentation and data science and analytics.

You've got

3-5 years experience working as Data Scientist or Data Analyst.
Proven experience with A/B testing and other methodologies such as causal inference, panel data models and quasi-experiments.
Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and visualizing data (e.g., R, Python, SQL).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail as well as the ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
Familiarity with machine learning / statistical learning is a plus.
