Lead Front-End Developer in Berlin bei Straumann Group

Job Purpose
We are looking for a skilled & passionate lead front-end web developer to become part of our virtual scrum team of enthusiastic ’solve anything’ developers, designer and project manager. Our team is using Adobe Experience Manager as our strategic platform for our global marketing activities for all our customer facing brands as well as corporate endeavors. Your responsibilities will include technology consulting, front-end architecture, developing for large and small-scale web-based applications and micro-sites, providing estimates for scopes of work, mentoring team members and guiding designers on best practices and user experience opportunities. You will shape and manage our transition to the cloud from the very beginning and drive this ahead with modern technologies.
You will serve as well as the subject matter expert for front-end topics within our global IT with the goal to have a consistent experience across platforms and to leverage development investments.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Functional lead of front-end developers and collaboration with product owner, designer, testers to ship features
• Architectural decisions to ensure reliable and state-of-the-art solutions
• Build complex & high scalable front-end application in close cooperation with our lead backend developer & solution architect using HTML, CSS and JS frameworks like React, Web Components, Sass
• Development but also quality assurance like PR / task review
• Work within a fast paced, dynamic & international environment with an agile working culture using methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban
• Work in virtual team with flat hierarchies and very short decision-making process
• Support the PO and external partner on the solution design and technology strategy
• Ensuring scalability, performance and resilience of our web application
• Identify technology trends and propose strategies and tactics for implementing them
• Empowering other teams to leverage front-end technologies and architectural decisions for their platforms and services

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience
• You are proficient in modern web technologies like React, Web Components, Sass/Less, Storybook, XD/Sketch/InvisionApp, Selenium/cypress and have a deep understanding of front-end architectures and strategies
• You feel comfortable with code as well as with people-related topics and have experience in a technical leadership role in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• You write well-structured, efficient and maintainable code and actively keep the quality of the codebase in check
• You write it you own it mentality
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Web and microservice cloud native technology stack affinity
• Used to work in agile methods and close collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Capable of working to both tactical and strategic timescales
• Team Player, able to provide input into a multifunctional team
• A "can do" attitude, open and welcomes new challenges
• Fluent in English, German is a plus
• Adobe Experience Manager knowledge is a plus
