Your Role

To meet the ambition the strategy and goals of Vision Technology Solutions, the job holder is responsible to shape the future of the optometric market with innovative software solutions.

You will lead a team of lead software developers, domain experts and software architects for the development of optometric solutions and omnichannel/cloud solutions, team being distributed among the globe (e.g. Germany, Bangalore, China), providing the team with leadership on technical issues and coaching to improve team quality and efficiency
You ensure that your team delivers within time, cost and quality and define actions in case of deviations and ensure compliance with our own processes and relevant standards and guidelines
You drive innovations and contribute to the development and implementation of the technology roadmap and divisional strategy
For that you will have available a network of internal and external partners contributing to R&D activities and manage the existing network

Your Profile

University degree in computer science, electrical engineering or natural sciences
You have at least 10 years of experience in industry in a software development environment, as well as at least 5 years of experience in leadership positions
Strong working experience in industrial & global environment
You have in-depth knowledge of software development techniques, and experience with cloud technologies as well as hardware-related software solutions
You have worked in a regulated medical environment with experience in compliance with applicable standards and regulations (ISO 13485, MDR, ...)
Ideally, you have experience in building and managing a network of internal and external development service providers both in Germany, India and / or China
You have strong organizational skills (you can manage a growing number of tasks), analytical thinking, strong solution orientation and creativity
You have excellent communication skills and can communicate effectively across multiple hierarchical levels
Ability to present results to various audiences incl. C-Level, interacting with peers on different organization levels without disciplinary power
You have business fluent language skills in English
Outstanding analytical skills
Strong understanding of supplier management processes and outsourced production
