Ericsson Antenna System (EAS) is providing a complete range of high-quality Antenna and Antenna Line Devices and is an integral part of Ericsson Radio Systems.

We are now looking for a committed and motivated RF (System) Designer for value and cost analysis located in Rosenheim, Germany, to support the development and maintenance of our cutting-edge Mobile Communication Antennas.

In this role you will focus on the analysis of active or passive Antennas including subassemblies, components and RF-Devices as well as their integration into the entire system in regards to cost. You will apply sound understanding of technical interdependencies and their impact on the parts and products cost.

Orchestration of your large network as well as coordination of analysis projects with the organisation will help you to deliver on the task’s goals.

What you will do

• Execute and support requirement analysis by evaluating the product performance impact of parts and (sub-)assemblies’ value
• Scope and define analysis campaigns as well as design activities in the area of cost down
• Plan and execute workshops and gather the organization’s knowledge for implementation into development plans
• initiate and drive portfolio maintenance by applying reengineering measures
• activate your R&D internal network to accelerate analysis and benchmarking activities, run small investigations on antenna performance and impacts on your own
• Coordinate external collaborations and coordinate the execution of the resulting solutions into design or cooperation plans
• Visualize cost over performance effects and know how to simplify complex dependencies
• Enrich a diverse team which follows the ambition to improve the business profitability

You will bring

• A Bachelor, Master´s degree or PhD in RF / electrical science, Mobile Communication Technology or similar domain with focus on RF
• Systematic knowledge of base station antennas and network site design
• Demonstrated long-term experience in design and development of complex products as well as the integration of a high number of components
• Knowledgeable in methods of functional analysis (e.g. TRIZ) and the respective application into complex RF products
• Experience from working in global und multicultural project teams and matrix organizations
• Basic knowledge in simulation methods
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, creative way of thinking
• High self-motivation and structured way of working
• Very good interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for teamwork and collaboration in an international environment
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
• German language skills are a plus
