Summary:

The work schedule for this position is:

Full Time (40 hours per week)

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Incumbent may be required to make long-distance trips to other regions within Germany and adjacent countries that require overnight stays.

Duties

The incumbent operates safely a fully armored vehicle to transport the Consul General (CG) within the city and the surrounding areas. Ensures that the vehicle is in a clean and serviceable condition and performs minor preventive maintenance. The incumbent reports to the International Relations Officer General (IROG) of the e U.S. Consulate General in Hamburg.

Sie fungieren als professioneller Chauffeur (m/w/d) und betreiben sicher ein voll gepanzertes Fahrzeug um den Generalkonsul innerhehalb der Stadt und der umliegenden Gebiete zu transportieren. Sie sind für den sauberen und betriebsbereiten Zusand des Fahrzeuges veranwortlich und führen kleinere vorbeugende Wartungsarbeiten durch. Sie berichtet an den International Relations Officer General (IROG) am U.S. Generalkonsulat in Hamburg.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

Three years' experience as a professional driver are required.

Education Requirements:

Completion of primary education is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: please address both language requirements in your ERA application.

Position requires limited knowledge language skills in English (speaking/reading and writing).
Position requires good working knowledge language skills in German (speaking, reading and writing).

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: please address this factor in your ERA application under major duties and responsibilities.

- Must have valid (German/EU), current license for class B. (German/EU driver's license for Class C1 is necessary but not considered a pre- employment requirement. Gaining the license may become subject to post-entry training - given the availability of funding by the employer). Provide copy of front and backpage of the driver's license.

Driving may be tested.
