Position Overview:
As the Managing Director/Sales Director, DE you will be responsible for overseeing the General Management of our Ingelheim office and Commercial team. This role requires close collaboration with various functional managers including, Marketing, Finance, Operations and HR to ensure the efficient management of the local entity, including full P&L responsibility.
The primary focus of this role is the long-term development of stable, independent and efficient distribution throughout the local retail environment. You will develop and continuously improve the local business and brand concepts in line with EMEA and DACH regional strategies. Acquisition and the development of target-oriented sales promotions and other marketing initiatives will be key metrics in the success of this role.

Your Responsibilities:
The MD/Sales Director and their team develop together with VP Sales the go-to-market strategy in the frame of the EMEA strategy and will be responsible for the execution of strategic tasks.
· Contacting specialist trade customers, local headquarters of chains (DIY, mass markets, hyper markets) and internal contacts to international KAMs in all tasks relating to the design, development, and implementation of retail concepts.
· Building up, developing and manage the local Sales Office, implement solid business contacts with retail customers.
· Management, advising and coaching of the Sales Representatives in sales Region.
· Active cooperation with the EMEA Marketing team and the Marketing Manager in strategic concepts to suit the needs of the local customers and consumers.
· Ensures the implementation and monitoring of defined and agreed policies.
· Defines sales plans and forecasts in cooperation with the team and Sales planner/-controller.
· Regional market observation, market forecasts and initiation of necessary improvement measures.
· Representing the brand at sales events such as trade shows, seminars etc.
· Continuously developing knowledge about Weber products; products functionality, warranty, and maintenance.
About You:
· Degree in business or economics.
· Minimum 5 years of sales experience in premium branded products, as well as a track record of operating at Director/MD level of a $100m business.
· Track record of working with a wide variety of consumers/channels from individual to shop owners to retailers to e-commerce.
· Excellent commercial acumen with experience working as a General Manager.
· Strong problem solving and analytical skill.
· Successful leader, who can engage and motivate others to achieve goals and targets.
· Thrives in a high-change environment and supports others to adapt to change and innovation.
· Excellent communication and influencing skills.
· Professional level English language skills.
· Proven ability to build and maintain effective and productive sales connections.
· Self-motivated with a hands-on attitude.
· Excellent organisation and planning skills – can deliver both strategically and tactically.
