What's the role?

Hilti has committed to ambitious sustainability goals, with a strong focus on circular economy. We already collect products from our customers at end of life, and work with external partners to recycle these. We now want to take this to the next level, expanding our capabilities for Closed Loop recycling, primarily of plastics. We need an entrepreneurial intern to take the first steps here, giving transparency on material flows, making recommendations on what to prioritise and overseeing the execution of at least one pilot project. The minimum duration for the internship is 6 months, it can be extended up to 12 months.

What does the role involve?

Map out Hilti’s most relevant material flows, from customer end-of-life, to logistics and recycling. Research and add to knowledge on which materials are most suitable for closed loop recycling. Based on data and stakeholder collaboration, identify, plan and lead at least one pilot project to bring “closed loop recycling” to life at Hilti.

What you need is:

• Knowledge and interest in sustainability (specifically, circular economy, recycling or materials)
• Willingness to learn and ask questions, engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Accurate and data driven, using quantitative and qualitative facts to build an engaging story
• Good English skills
• You are available for 6 -12 months
