In this role you will serve as the point of contact for production companies, being responsible for all aspects of day-to-day production duties, issues, and administration. You’ll be reporting to the Director Production Management and will play a crucial role in ensuring our local productions are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
This role will require you to be onsite in our Munich office 4 days a week.
- Contact person for the production companies for all day-to-day production duties, issues and administration.
- Analyzing and adjusting the planning of budgets, schedules, scripts, health and safety aspects, etc. for our local productions
- Preparing budgets and schedules for pilot and series productions
- Negotiation of production and development budgets for series and single formats
- Benchmarking of prices and industry rates
- Review of cost report, cash flows and all production processes with reporting to management in Germany and the UK
- Supporting the finance department with annual budget planning and its monitoring
- Tracking of Green Light budgets and support of Green Light processes
- Preparation of regular project status reports
- Anticipating problems and advising the Disney creative team on production, budget and legal issues
- Work closely with Legal, Finance, PR, Marketing, Procurement, Compliance, Security, etc.
- Degree educated or equivalent experience in Business or Media Studies
- Extensive professional work experience in TV stations, high-end production companies or within an international media group
- Excellent network of contacts in the industry
- Proven success at a management level
- Expert in production management and proven negotiation skills
- Strong business opinions and confident in expressing them
- Experienced in communicating and aligning across multiple business areas
- Experienced in contract management
- Very good language skills in German (spoken & written)
- Proficient in English (written & spoken)
