What you will do
- Planning, preparation, logistics and execution of system tests and experiments in our fiber optical laboratories as well as in field experiments
- Software programming (e.g. with C/C++, Python, Matlab) for device control, data analysis, and simulations
- Hardware development (design, simulation, FPGA programming in VHDL)
What you bring to the table
You are a full-time student of physics, electrical engineering or communications engineering with good to very good grades
A lot of personal commitment
Ability to work in a team, independently and on your own responsibility
Experience in one or more of the application areas (see above) is advantageous

The position is initially limited to 6 months. An extension is explicitly desired.
The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
