As our Manager Strategic Planning (m/f/d) you will assist the President and the management team in devising key business strategies by driving major planning activities through comprehensive preparation. In this you will monitor progress, develop and recommend changes or adjustments to plans in order to drive profitable sales growth and strategic positioning. The scope of planning activities spans marketing, sales, operations and finance.
At the center of the planning process, you will organize agenda and coordinate with key stakeholders to also ensure a smooth execution of the various company planning processes.
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as focal point of the business unit and drive major planning activities working closely with the President as well as heads of functions. Assist, coordinate and prepare the materials necessary to define key plans, long term goals as well as the ongoing business i.e., board meetings.
- Constantly liaise with various leaders of the business unit to ensure key activities are on track. Coordinate progress reviews, monitor status, challenge performances, and define corrective actions.
- Being the focal point with corporate planning, ensure good alignment about information needs and deliver high quality information either for major (annual) planning events or ad hoc business analysis or reports.
- Execute special projects that are critical to solving key challenges or realizing strategic opportunities.
- In coordination with global teams, market segment leaders and analysts, ensure continuous improvement of processes related to market data/segmentation and sales allocation. Focus on the relevance of the processes with respect to the evolution of markets segments, applications, and channels.
What you bring to Emerson:
- Degree in business management and/or engineering, MBA desirable but optional
- Previous experience in the relevant fields of work that builds a foundation for proactive, independent performance
- Strategic mindset, ability to develop and coordinate plans to meet business objectives
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate, including via presentation materials.
- Fluency in English. Additional European language will be advantageous.
