NXP Semiconductors is hiring a native English language speaker as Senior Editor for Corporate content and storytelling to support NXP’s content team.
In this global, cross-functional role, you’ll partner with NXP leaders, PR, sales, and marketing peers to craft and share our vision for the future of the automobile, smart homes, smart factories, and the smart cities of tomorrow. You’ll make your mark by creating consistent and compelling content including long and short copy, contributed articles, keynote speeches, or social media copy.
The next wave of semiconductor growth is being driven by the rise of secure edge devices in everything from automobiles, industrial applications, to smartphones or wearables. There’s never been a better time to produce compelling content to help NXP reach customer decision makers along their buying journey, industry influencers or policymakers, and tech enthusiasts eager to develop the next game-changing secure, connected device.
The position is open to an experienced editor, gifted storytelling, and tech enthusiasts in Europe or the US at one of NXP’s sites in Hamburg (Germany), Munich (Germany), or Austin (USA). You will report into the Head of Content Creation and be part of a team of 70+ marketing communications colleagues across the globe.
Responsibilities:
This individual contributor will:
Develop and produce differentiated, compelling thought leadership content across the company’s business focus areas in automotive, industrial, and consumer with stories that strongly resonate across NXP’s broad audience
Partner with subject matter experts and agencies to create content and key messages along an aligned set of priorities that help to deliver consistency across all our marketing and communications channels
Collaborate closely with an internal brand and creative team, or agencies, for a consistent and impactful tone of voice and brand look & feel
Create impactful copy for event-related promotions or corporate web pages
Provide input to or lead executive management communications projects
Qualifications:
9+ years of work experience in Communications, preferably in B2B and/or tech environment
Corporate and/or agency background
English as a native language
Proven ability to produce and deliver compelling thought leadership content across a variety of mediums
Gifted in building speeches or presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint or similar presentation builder; creative flair is a plus
Outside the box thinking with an affinity for innovation and solutions seeking
Minimum Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in marketing, PR, communications, journalism, or related field
Skilled storyteller
Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a bias to action
Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to see the big picture
Highly organized, with an ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ultimate team-player
Knowledge of social and digital media
Strong technical interest and aptitude
