For the department Safety ADAS/AD (driving assistance systems) in Berlin we are looking for a working student in the field of driving and parking functions. The department works in the area of automated driving and we develop functions for the future of our vehicles. It starts with the driver assistance systems, continues with the safety functions, from highly automated driving to parking.
You will be a member of an agile working team (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, etc.) being responsible for the safety of costumer functions on system and software level. Our international team is working on the topic of Safety. Safety is an elementary part within the development of autonomous driving. You will become a part of it and work on safety-related costumer functions with us.
We are looking for newcomers, preferably bachelor students, with a passion for automobiles and their development. In perspective, there is the opportunity to complete your mandatory internship or to write your final thesis. We are looking forward to welcome new people to our team.
- Gain experience in the automotive industry in the field of ADAS/AD (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
- Contribute to the safe functioning of future driving assistance systems
- Perform supporting tasks in the area of ADAS/AD and take on independent tasks in due course
- Work with relevant international standards based on the state of the art (e.g. ISO26262/ISO21448)
- Create safety analysis (e.g. HARA, FTA, FMEA, STPA) as part of your daily work
- Develop and improve existing processes and implement standards
- Elaborate safety concepts/strategies and execute resulting tasks (on the basis of e.g. specification of requirements)
- Good to very good academic performance
- Enrolled student (preferably in a Bachelor’s program) in the area of computer science, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, information technology or a comparable course of study
- Analytical and conceptual skills and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work in a team
- Fluent in English and German
- Working on site at the Berlin location
- Duration: 6 months
- Up to 20 h/week, up to 35 h/week during the semester break
