The Universities of Cologne and Bonn, the MPI for Radio Astronomy,
the FZ Jülich and the DLR Cologne are applying for a new research
cluster in the field of astrophysics with strong ties to data science.
The coordination is located at the I. Physics Institute in Cologne.
YOUR TASKS
» Administrative and scientific coordination of the
planned astrophysics research cluster application
» Support in the preparation and writing of the grant application
» Organization of collaboration meetings, workshops, etc.
» Public Outreach
» Introduction and implementation of
equal opportunities measures
» Communication with administration and funding agencies
» Coordination and close cooperation with the team
YOUR PROFILE
» You have a degree (PhD or equivalent) in a sciences subject
» You have experience in writing scientific grant proposals
» You can work independently as well as in a team
» You have knowledge of LaTeX
» You have skills in creating and maintaining websites
» You have very good communication skills
» You speak and write German and English fluently
» Ideally, you have experience in coordinating large projects

The position is available from February 1, 2024 on a part-time basis
(19,92 hours per week). It is limited until December 31, 2025. If the
applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal
qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L
