Position Overview

Details of the role and how it fits into the team

The Data domain within TDI Private Bank Germany covers the complete data value chain, including not only the mobilization, integration, enrichment and storage of data. Furthermore it provides tools, data warehouses, services and data analytics to enable new use cases, business capabilities and directly creates value for Deutsche Bank.

We are looking for an enhancement in our Analytical Workplace platform team, DB’s first data science platform with productive data live on GCP.

The primary goal of the team is to continue the deployment and management of the platform, evolving the existing tooling, build, deployment automation, test automation, monitoring and implementation of new GCP native services.

Your key responsibilities

• Working within software- and platform development projects to design, setup, and maintain core infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and GCP native services such as Databases, Messaging, Storage, Compute with terraform in Google Cloud Platform

• Together with our DevOps team you design and build automation processes for the deployment, management, and monitoring of our platform as well as cluster management for Kubernetes (Google Kubernetes Engine)

• Partner with data engineers to build data- and machine learning pipelines based on GCP

• Use your experience and know-how to ensure that our solutions are highly scalable, reliable and cover best practices of DevOps (Integration, delivery, test, deployment, traceability and auditability)

Your skills and experiences

• University degree in a technical related field

• Deep knowledge and experience (5+ years) in platform and reliability management (GCP is not necessary)

• Vast experience with Docker, Kubernetes and common monitoring solutions like Google Cloud Monitoring or NewRelic (preferred but not a must)

• Hands on experience with orchestration tools like GitHub, TeamCity, Jenkins, Udeploy.

• Senior level in practices to follow DevOPS, Agile, CI & CD

• A passion for constantly learning and applying new technologies in a constantly evolving environment.

• Fluent English, German is a plus, but not a must
