Amazon Payments is seeking a multi-talented manager to join our EU Operations leadership team to head up our Gift Cards business in its next phase of growth, further accelerating our scalable business approach and building trust with our stakeholders by ensuring best-in-class operational support. Amazon Payments is a rapidly growing, multi-billion dollar global business, which provides our worldwide customers access to Amazon via accepted payment methods and significantly contributes to Amazon's profitability. Our Payments operations team ensures seamless purchase and usability experience for customers.
Key job responsibilities
As a leader of leaders, you will manage and motivate teams of experienced program managers across Customer Experience, Customer Trust and Corporate Operations and build successful working relationships with key stakeholders across multiple regions. You will use your strong prioritization and excellent communication skills to effectively influence across our cross-functional, global Gift Cards and Operations organizations. You will develop your team who is located in multiple EU offices and apply your prior experience from either program or project management roles, preferably in a business operational environment. You are well-versed in using data and metrics to drive improvements and influence business decisions. As a self-starter, you are confident in managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership and leverage your proven track-record of delivering high-impactful, cross-functional projects in your daily work. You are a beacon for your team's high standards.
A day in the life
As a motivational leader and experienced people manager you will focus on your team's development and career progression. You will effectively influence partner team performance and drive long term strategic initiatives to enhance customer experience and own key roadmap initiatives relating to customer experience, automation and fraud prevention. You guide your team in delivering substantial process and productivity improvement projects, where you will apply creative thinking, best practices, and identify new solutions to automate and increase efficiency in a meaningful way by challenging the status quo. You will rise to the occasion when you steer your team through customer escalations.
About the team
Our team is the center of operational excellence for EU Payment Products. We are the connecting tissue between our customers, product, technology and many more central Amazon support teams. Our customers are consumers, business customers, banking/insurance partners, and Amazon-internal teams. The team establishes and maintains an exceptional payment experience overall through: i) establishing mechanisms that ensure prevention and timely resolution of payments-related issues; ii) the management and governance of our payment partners; and iii) looking round corners to find ways to reduce the cost-to-serve.

- Experience managing teams across multiple EU locations
- Experience managing operational teams
- Experience in program or project management (5+ years)
- Experience delivering cross-functional projects
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements and influence business decisions
- Excellent English, in addition fluency in either German/French/Spanish or Italian
- Bachelor’s degree and higher
- Experience within Customer Service, Customer experience or Customer Trust roles
- Experience in Finance, Banking or Payments
