The work schedule for this position is:
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
The incumbent is a Visa Assistant in the Berlin Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV) Unit, under the direct supervision of the Supervisory Visa Assistant. They provide the full-range of support functions related to the acceptance, processing, review and issuance of visas at a post with a high demand for such services and with a large third country applicant pool. The job holder also participates in consular outreach activities. The Visa Assistant is supervised by the Senior Visa Assistant and reviewed by the LE Staff Supervisor.

Two years of experience in a customer service-oriented work environment.
Completion of secondary school (German: Realschule, United States: U.S. High School Diploma or GED) is required.
LANGUAGE: please address both language requirements in your ERA application.
Position requires fluent language skills in English (speaking/reading/writing).
Position requires fluent language skills in German (speaking/reading/writing).
This may be tested.
