Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. is seeking a qualified Senior SCA Analystto provide
support to the United States Special Operations Intelligence Directorate (J2) and Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOC) who provides Predictive Analysis, Social-Cultural Analysis and Analytical Support to the Headquarters, Components, TSOCs, and deployed Special Operations Forces (SOF) in order to inform USSOCOM leadership of complex analysis related to USSOCOM intelligence enterprise and in support of Geographical Combatant Commands (GCC). The purpose of this task is to provide Subject Matter Experts (SME) in SCA, All-Source (AS) analysis, CYBER, Information Operations, and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) to inform senior leaders, mission planners, and deployed Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel on socio-cultural, pattern analysis, CYBER, Information Operations and all-source intelligence in support of SOCOM and TSOC decision making, engagements, missions.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Provide socio-cultural overview for specified Areas of Interest (AOI) and provide detailed analysis of populations and their relationships with VEOs, TCOs and local Governments. Provide socio-cultural advice and expertise to deployed forces and staff. Provide atmospheric information outlining important historical events, leaders, group dynamics, attitudes, cultural norms and values. Highlight major components of human society: economic, demographic, legal/regulatory, political/institutional, social/cultural, religious/ideological, and relevant geographic variables to the operational commander.
- Research, analyze, and prepare analytical products encompassing the cultural, social, religious, and ideological beliefs of leaders and groups, as well as assess the attitudes, cultural norms, and values of local populations in support of tactical and operational needs for mission planning and execution.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) through a variety of products such as Intelligence Studies, Desk Notes, PowerPoint briefings with associated textual analyses and graphical representation of areas of interest, at various classification levels.
- Respond to assigned RFIs IAW paragraph 3.15, by researching, analyzing, and producing finished intelligence including, but not limited to, Intelligence Studies, Desk Notes, PowerPoint briefings (with associated textual analyses and graphical representation of areas of interest), at required classification levels.
- Upload all supporting data, including geospatial files, spreadsheets, link analyses, social networking analyses, nodal analyses, and cited materials to the SOF Geospatial Enterprise (SGE) or User Defined Operational Picture (UDOP) upon completion.
- Conduct tactical, operational, and strategic analysis to identify moderate populations capable and willing to counter extremist ideology.
- Analyze the socio-cultural factors making local populations vulnerable to extremists and their radical messaging as well as to threat entities involved in illicit activity.
- Analyze the socio-cultural factors which favor extremists and other threat actors/entities.
- Identify exploitable operational opportunities within the socio-cultural fabric of an AOI tailored for use within an asymmetric environment.
- Identify and conduct analysis to illuminate behavior patterns of populations vulnerable to extremist ideology, to include attitudes and sentiment, impact of adversary propaganda, and identification of strengths and weaknesses among groups and individuals within localized social networks.
- Respond to socio-cultural taskings and fuse socio-cultural analysis with other intelligence/disciplines into comprehensive, finished intelligence products; provide atmospheric information outlining leaders, group dynamics, attitudes, cultural norms and values.
- Synthesize detailed atmospherics information (e.g., cultural/social leaders, group dynamics, assessments of the attitudes, cultural norms, values of the local populace, etc...) to provide intelligence assessments in support of operational planning based on specific requirements.
- HQ Socio-Cultural analysts will provide products in accordance with Defense Intelligence Analysis Production (DIAP) 360G (socio-cultural).
- Contextualize the SCA variables in the Courses of Actions (COA) recommended to the decision-maker.
- Acquire and extract SCA and geographic information from relevant current open-source data and archival material.
- Attend conferences, workshops, and meetings in support of the Command's objectives.
- Travel with the Commander and/or designated staff to countries in the AOR to provide real-time cultural intelligence (norms, customs, and values), assist with cross-cultural idiosyncrasies, and faci
