Export Import Supervisor-Hamburg-Bremen-vollzeit/ in Hamburg bei Crane Worldwide Germany GmbH

Essential Duties

• Plans, directs, and controls import activities on a day-to-day basis.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key customers and key suppliers resolving concerns, interacting with customer service, operations and sales personnel to resolve any conflicts on a timely basis.
• Supervises import documentation.
• Oversee obtaining and processing of Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging delivery, and invoicing the import Accounts to their SOP.
• Supervise coordination of the release of goods from the carrier, customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Position may require extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing and walking.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Understanding of Customs regulations, tariffs and interpretations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have excellent client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs and requests for service and assistance.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight,
• volume and distance measurements
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, email and various PC based. software.
• Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years related experience.
• Minimum 3 years industry experience preferred.
• Minimum three years supervisory experience required.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
