Your Tasks - What You can expect as Regional Category Manager EMEA – Specialty Chemicals
You create and implement a regional category sourcing strategy for a portfolio of regionally managed chemicals (resins, additives, pigments, spend of approx. 20m EUR)
Through market analysis you identify, initiate and support strategic raw material suppliers and build relationships with them in an international context.
You prepare, execute, conclude and follow-up suppliers negotiations independently to secure and expand Siegwerk’s competitive advantages on international procurement markets.
You are responsible for close and continuous coordination of procurement activities with internal stakeholders in the areas of production, technology and scheduling to optimize the demand structure.
To ensure the execution of a new material sourcing strategy you take over the monitoring of regional raw material savings according to our targets as well as the coordination with our technical development and sourcing team.
Through continuous development of our supplier relationships you secure long-term innovation-driven competitive advantages and evaluate risks to the business including identifying of appropriate actions.
You ensure supplier information accuracy of negotiated prices, do the price forecast in our IT system and take the lead on major claims as well as quality and supply issues, or issues covering multiple sites.
You drive product alignment and standardization within the category aiming for commoditization and complexity reduction.
Your Profile - What You bring as Regional Category Manager EMEA – Specialty Chemicals
You completed your degree in business administration, science or engineering and bring several years of relevant experiences in purchasing or comparable functions.
You are experienced in independent and structured working methods in international matrix organizations.
You have strong negotiation skills, cost awareness and excellent communication skills at all hierarchical levels.
You are a flexible individual, able to position as a business partner for the organization and to adjust work packages depending on business needs.
You are proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and ideally in SAP.
You communicate fluent in English – other languages would be a strong plus.
Experience in a similar industry would be a strong plus
