As Director Culinary (all genders) at Foodji, you will have a key role in our organization, responsible for translating our company’s vision into a culinary strategy and bringing it to life, including all products the Foodji sells, ultra-fresh food, snacks and drinks. Furthermore, you will also be responsible for shaping, leading, and nurturing a high-performance culinary team. Our culinary product will become a unique USP under your leadership.
What you will be doing:
- Attract, lead, and develop our food team at Foodji, using our values, 1:1’s, and team retros to build an individualized development plan for each member of the team.
- Develop and execute a culinary vision and strategy while driving a customer-focused environment committed to delivering the highest quality product to our customers.
- Manage the entire life cycle of our culinary assortment, from ideation to go-live.
- Identify, manage and develop relevant suppliers, consistently with our culinary vision.
- Work closely with our FSQA department to ensure the highest quality standards in our product lifecycle.
- Monitor and analyze all relevant KPIs, while working closely with our demand planning team, driving continuous improvement of our portfolio.
- Development of private label products and implementation of external brands and chefs in licensing deals.
- You will work with the senior management team of the company on a day-to-day basis on bringing this vision to life.
- 6+ years of experience in food/culinary, with a track record of delivering results and meeting or exceeding targets.
- Proven success in building, managing, and motivating high-performing teams.
- Extensive knowledge about the convenience food market and related trends.
- Experience working collaboratively with external stakeholders and other departments.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and thrive in a rapidly changing start-up environment, including proven leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with external partners and team members in a start-up environment.
