Lead Localization Manager (m/w/x) in München bei ZEISS Group
Your role
As a lead localization manager, you streamline and orchestrate the software localization efforts for all our stand alone and device integrated software products. You closely work together with our internal research & (software) development teams to localize their software products internally as well as with external vendor support. The content reaches from user manuals, instruction for use, product handbook to graphical user interfaces of web and mobile applications and device software. Communicating with internal teams daily, participating in their development ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, review) as well as coordinating our external vendors and align on timeline, budget, cope will be at the core of your daily work. You also are closely involved in the validation of the localization with our country sales and service organizations and always are keen to strive for high linguistic, technical, and visual quality standards.
Your profile:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least five years of experience working on cross-functional teams or equivalent qualification

Proven experience in practical project management

Track record in localization with knowledge of localization operations/best practices - ideally within in a medical device or environment or similar regulated industry

Ability and willingness to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous, global environment

Open to partner and communicate with internal content owners and external vendors to plan and execute a localization plan across multiple projects

Experience working and steering external localization vendors.

Experience with state-of-the-art localization tools.

Familiar with multiple bug tracking databases.

Experience using interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building productive and positive relationships with external partners, managers, peers, and vendors.

A high degree of initiative and commitment

German and English business fluent in spoken and written, other languages desirable
