Retail operations manager Northern Europe
As the Retail Operations Manager of Northern Europe, you will be part of the Global DTC Team based in the brand’s offices in Munich. Reporting directly into the Head of Retail EMEA, you will be responsible for overseeing all store operations, projects, and procedures within the Northern Europe Region. You will partner with Store Managers to improve existing and identify new processes, which are aligned with company strategy.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead the digital transformation (rollout of new soft and hardware due to omnichannel services);
- Interface with Headquarters functions (e.g., Global IT, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, etc.);
- Project Management for store openings, takeovers, and closures, Pop Up stores, and refits;
- Prepare & support the brand’s weekly Store Manager calls and take appropriate action plans (inclusive of staffing, assortment, consumer journeys & store environment);
- Provide stores with information with the weekly retail newsletter, deliver information from HQ to POS, guidelines, compliance, and policy regulations;
- Work on Store Operations Manual;
- Support stores with logistic topics;
- Liaise with Merchandise Management (HQ) for effective replenishment;
- Support Store Managers by assortment request;
- Plan, undertake, and be accountable for all aspects of inventory operations, monitoring loss-prevention and inventory discrepancies;
- Coach Store Managers on how to develop excellent customer service;
- Follow up actions on customer experience evaluation results and define effective clienteling action plans with the stores;
- Check store facilities are according to client standards
Requirements:
- 3+ years as store manager ideally in premium retail experience;
- 2+ years as Retail Area Manager ideally in premium retail experience;
- Bachelor Degree;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate productively and ability to influence in a team environment;
- Agile and with an entrepreneurial spirit, finding new approaches and solutions to the challenges of this role;
- Business acumen, numerical agility, and forward-thinking approach;
- Excellent MS Office knowledge, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word;
- Fluent in German and English, any other European language is a plus (e.g., Italian, French or Spanish);
- Willingness to travel (up to 50%).
