The base hourly rate for this position is $22.90
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This is a production position supervising the workflow of the MPA department and assisting with quality checks. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Conducts daily preshift meeting to review and discuss Safety, Quality, People and Production plan.
- Oversee plant programs to ensure the safety and well-being of all plant manufacturing personnel in the MPA Department.
- Train and supervise the labor force in the production activities of the MPA Department so all products are manufactured on a timely and cost-effective basis.
- Experience on all machinery in the MPA Department (Mixer, Press, Proctor, Dryer, Catcher). Training for machinery will be provided by JM.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork for the MPA Department for production reporting.
- Works hand in hand with quality department to ensure specifications are met.
- Daily inspection of forklifts

- Always use safe work practices, follows all safety rules and procedures, immediately reports any hazardous conditions, and fully participate in all safety programs.
- Perform safety observations and complete training assignments.
- Wears all personal protective equipment as required by management, including but not limited to all or some of the following: protective shoes, glasses, ear plugs, bump cap or hard hat, gloves, dust mask or respirator.
- Ensures all personal under his supervision wears protective equipment as required.
- Leads continuous improvement efforts at the MPA department using tools/training provided by JM (5S, Lean,…).
- Regular attendance is required.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the MPA Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; address complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience and Skills
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
