We are looking for a highly motivated assistant to support our team lead / manager / director and our team in day-to-day activities, and also to get involved in further organisation and strategic projects. The team you will be joining is the Dry Bulk & Structured Origination trading desk. The team is based across the RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST) locations Essen, Swindon and London with outpost in our Mumbai and Singapore offices. The trading desk is active in structured transactions involving illiquid and complex risk, cross-commodity transactions that cover more than one market or commodity, weather derivative products, provision of direct market access (DMA) to third parties, renewables certificate transactions as well as biofuels and dry bulk commodity transactions in global commodity markets.
- Provide first-class personal and team assistant support services, including diary, email, meeting management, and overall planning of internal and external meetings
- Planning, organizing business travel and settlement of travel expenses
- Ability to write and/or update presentations & papers for submission up to Board level
- Monitor budget control and analysis for the team, and contribute to overall cost-efficiency
- Preparing documents (MS Office, Word, PowerPoint) in German and English language to tight deadlines
- Organisation of team events and offsites, including content to further support and grow our team spirit and culture
- Contribute or run projects to improve processes, efficiency, personal development and happiness at the workplace
Your powerful skills
- Proven track record as a personal or team assistant, ideally in an international business organisation
- Highly intrinsically motivated and committed, flexible in approach to work, capacity for adapting to challenging and changing work environment and deadlines
- Ability to work in a busy environment without constant supervision and ability to prioritize and organize work effectively, ensuring excellent attention to detail
- Strong team player with excellent communication, planning and organizational as well as cultural skills
- Very sound skills in MS Office application
- Ability to communicate effectively with tact and discretion in English, both in written and verbal formats, with management and staff at all levels within the RWE group and externally
- A highly flexible, proactive and resourceful approach with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to work on own initiative and to proactively identify solutions to problems
- Open minded, open to develop, grow, improve oneself and the team
Advantageous, but not a must
- German language skills
- Experience and interested in modern way of working, paperless, digital, applying new tools
- Knowledge of the RWE Group and the business of RWEST
