1WorldSync is the industry leader in product content management. With approximately 600 employees across the US, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, and the UK, we’re seeking a HR Manager Europe to support our growing global team.
Reporting directly to our Chief Human Resources Officer, and by the Geschaftsfuhrer, the HR Manager - Europe will oversee daily functions and support planning related to benefits and leave administration, compliance, full-cycle recruitment, learning and development, employee engagement, and performance management. This role will engage in employee relations, as well as enforcement and management of company policies and procedures, serving as support to leaders across the organization and working with management to align business objectives with Human Resources strategy.
As HR Manager - Europe at 1WorldSync, responsibilities include the following:
Oversee the day-to-day human resources functions for all employees located in Germany

Corporate engagement & recognition

Execute employee engagement and recognition initiatives, including values-based programs

Direct engagement activities on-site in the Cologne office

Performance management

Talent development

In collaboration with the HR Manager, Talent Management, implement career pathing and succession planning initiatives, including leadership development and coaching programs

Oversee the 1WorldSync Apprenticeship Program

Employee relations
-
HR content management
-
Obtain, organize, and/or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials along with maintaining and updating our employee handbook

Benefits and compensation

Oversee the payroll processes for Germany

Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave

Partner with brokers to address employee insurance program inquiries

Advise and inform employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions

Collaborate with the HR Manager, Compensation and Benefits to ensure the organization’s and plans’ compliance with applicable labor and pay laws

Conduct and report on employee surveys, censuses, and other research and demographic efforts required by benefit providers

Complete records and other documentation required by national, local, and provider rules, regulations, and policies

Employee Onboarding & Offboarding

Serve as an administrator for HR-related online systems and databases (ie HRIS, travel, expense reporting, wellness, benefits, etc.)

Partner with leadership at all levels of the organization to provide HR consultation and act as a trusted advisor to both people managers and individual contributors
Support projects within the Human Resources team
Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

12+ years progressive HR experience with management experience
-
5+ years of experience working with German employment law and regulations
-
3+ years of experience managing and leading a team of human resources employees
HR certification preferred
