ATLAS MARIDAN ApS is a Danish company with branches in Germany.
The Danish site develops, integrates, tests, repairs and maintains unmanned vehicles (UxVs), primarily autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).
Offshore exploration tasks (surveying operations) and the central management of research and development are carried out by the German branches.
We are active nationally and internationally in the areas of:
- Dredging
- Surface mining on stones & earths
- Offshore exploration and unexploded ordnance exploration
- Advice and exploration of explosive ordnance in sediment
- Ultra-High resolution Seismic
- Development, manufacture, repair, maintenance, integration and testing of autonomous, uncrewed mari-time vehicles (UxV).
An experienced team is available to handle various projects. The technical staff includes engineers specialising in process engineering, hydrographic engineering and geodesy as well as natural scientists from the fields of geology, geotechnics and geophysics.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to technically support planning of project objectives and requirements.
- Support the deployment, operation, and retrieval of high-resolution multichannel seismic, multibeam, and sidescan sonar systems.
- Monitor data acquisition in real-time, making necessary adjustments to ensure data quality and coverage.
- Coordinate with vessel crew and other team members to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Process raw survey data using specialized software packages, ensuring accurate and high-quality results.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify geological features, subsurface structures, and potential hazards.
- Implement QA/QC procedures throughout the project lifecycle to verify data accuracy and reliability.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine maintenance on survey equipment to minimize downtime.
- Prepare detailed reports and deliver presentations to communicate survey results to project stakeholders.
- Stay updated on advancements in survey technology, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the survey operations.
- Support in implementing technical solutions for process and equipment optimizations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geophysics, Oceanography, Marine Science, or related field.
- Basic technical knowledge of hydroacoustic (SSS, MBES), magnetic and multichannel seismic principles.
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial data analysis and visualization.
- Basic programming skills (e.g. Python 2/3, C/C++, Go,).
- Familiarity with industry standards and guidelines for offshore survey operations (e.g., International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) standards, Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) guidelines.
- Preferred: Experience in working with Linux.
- Preferred: basic understanding of sensors and associated electric principles.
