Discover Impactful Work: The Supplier Data Intake Specialist (m/f/d) as part of the Data Operations & Content team is the link between the suppliers and the data team. You are responsible for item creation, maintenance and discontinuation to ensure alignment with the supplier and internal guidelines, following the established RACI. You will contact the suppliers and work with the different stakeholders to enable the best services through the channel for the supplier and for the customer. You'll lead the suppliers to work with us in a win/win attitude demonstrating the benefit of using the supplier tools to capture data for supplier portfolio alignment within Fisher Scientific. You have a strong focus on data consistency, improvements, ensuring quality and accuracy of data in our systems.
A day in the life: - Responsible for Item and Business Partner life cycle: creation, maintenance, inactivation, duplicate elimination.
- Manage item life cycle requests raised by suppliers on Supplier Exchange (or any other agreed tool).
- Manage allocated projects, committing with deadline, promoting data accuracy and report results accurately.
- Manage allocated internal requests following guidelines from the responsible stakeholders and in alignment with Data Operations Intake Manager.
- Perform data cleansing projects and ensure prioritization and timely implementation of the resultant changes.
- Communicate with the suppliers to get the maximum data possible and help them through any roadblock or difficulty they may face.
- Proactively contact suppliers to get supplier data ensuring the creation, development, enrichment and update of the manufacturers and products databases.
- Perform critical data changes like price, suppliers, unit of measure to ensure changes are made in an accurate and timely manner to minimize disruption to our customers.
- Support the Annual Pricing Project in any capacity needed.
- Responsible for Knowledge data base maintenance.
- Apply product data and process knowledge to develop strategies around process and SLA improvements.
- Improvement of data consistency, including leading and assigning corrective actions in alignment with the data governance and processes defined by the European Data Management Leadership.
- Working closely with Product Management, Compliance, Marcom, Supply Chain and others, to ensure their guidelines are followed for the item/supplier set up and maintenance.
- Support the internal and external auditing procedures as required on our systems and processes.
- Support PPI Business System in designing, testing and implementing new automation tools or process efficiencies.
- Drive internal process improvement through active use of the PPI Business System.
- Actively participate on Governance activities and ensure the use of Governance when appropriated.
- Support IT testing and processes.
- Serve as a backup for Data Operations & Content day-to-day job functions, i.e. new item and item maintenance/discontinuation.
- Support and collaborate with US shared services groups to align Europe data management and strategy.
- Perform other projects and duties as delegated and assigned by manager.
The Keys to success: - Bachelor’s Degree in business or related discipline or strong knowledge on Fisher Scientific product data.
- Good knowledge of the suppliers and portfolio management strategy.
- Proficient knowledge of MS office application specifically Excel. Knowledge in PowerApps, VBA and SQL preferred.
- Proficient with Thermo Fisher specific systems like IBS, Oracle PDH and Supplier Exchange Portal
- Proficient in English. Additional language skills are a plus.
