Working student research position in the field of the European Union’ Common Agricultural Policy (CAP): Qualitative analysis of policy-relevant challenges and issues

We are working to anticipate and actively investigate emerging issues in the agricultural sector related to the European Union’ Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). In the context of CAP, Remote Sensing (RS) data plays an essential role in monitoring and understanding these evolving issues. They provide important information for timely and sound decision-making.

Your role will be to support in analysing existing and future policies under the European Union (EU) towards the CAP and their impact on the agricultural sector. Furthermore, you are involved in the identification, prioritisation and analysis of relevant stakeholders.

Your tasks:

Scientific literature review
Web research, newsletter analysis
Screening of press releases
Analysis of reports
Preparation of questionnaires
Evaluation of interviews and surveys
Reporting

Your have:

A Bachelor‘s or Master’s degree in geography, agriculture, forest or environmental studies/sciences
Interest in policy and literature review
A general political understanding
Ability to conduct qualitative research analysis
Good knowledge in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Interest/familiarity/knowledge in the field of the agricultural sector or in agricultural topics
Good communication skills
Very good writing/reporting skills (monthly progress reports in English)
Very good spoken and written English skills (level C1 according to the CEFR)
Familiarity with project management tools is an asset
