Reference number W2413, salary in accordance with the German TV-L salary scale1, pay grade: E13 TV- L, duration
of employment: from 01-05-2024 until 30-04-2027, volume of employment: 75 % of standard working time.

Job requirements and responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will write a cumulative dissertation on the topic of comparative Bantu gender systems
within the context of the ANR-DFG-funded project "Macro- and micro-variation in Bantu grammatical gender
systems and their sociolinguistic correlates". The project description can be found here:

- They will take on course-work where needed in order to improve their research and/or language skills;
- They will present their findings to national and international audiences;
- They will be a pro-active project member and participate with minor roles in other activities related to the project.
Your academic qualifications:
- Completed university studies in general linguistics and/or African linguistics or is close to completion;
- Language skills (according to GER): English of the highest academic excellence (reading, speaking, and writing).
