The portfolio comprises of products and services for life sciences, materials and industrial research, as well as education and clinical routine applications.

We are seeking an experienced and talented Product Manager to join our team and lead the development of our microscopy software platform “ZEN”. With ZEN, we are setting standards in cutting-edge Life Sciences research and inspire customers all over the world. ZEN combines the control of various ZEISS Microscopy hardware platforms with a broad range of analysis functionalities in one software suite.

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy and product vision, defining product roadmaps, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that accelerates research for our customers.

Your Role

Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and market trends for ZEN and stay up to date with latest technologies
Define and communicate our product vision, strategy and roadmap for ZEN in a team with product managers for acquisition modules and product managers for analysis functionalities
Take responsibility for budgeting and prioritization including alignment with various business sectors and other product managers
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineering, UX and quality assurance to develop new features for ZEN
Support our marketing team during product launches and sales activities e.g. with webinars, sales training for the ZEN product line, but also at major launch events
Collaborate with sales and customer support teams to gather feedback and insights from customers
Drive the implementation of pricing coordination or licensing models and measure the success of the product

Your Profile

A university degree in life sciences, engineering or equivalent
Around three years of experience with imaging and image analysis software
Experience gained in the field of software for microscopy
In-depth application knowledge in light and confocal microscopy
Ideally gained experience in product management with strong customer focus
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel worldwide, around 15-20% during the year
Positive “can do” attitude coupled with willingness to continuously acquire product and application knowledge
Fluently speaking German and English
