S tep into the exciting role of a Test & Measurement Engineer at Rolls-Royce Electrical in Munich, where you'll be at the forefront of aerospace innovation. As a key team member, you'll have the opportunity to design and implement state-of-the-art test rigs for aerospace drive train applications, ensuring their peak performance. Take on the challenge of maintaining and operating these cutting-edge systems, while also becoming a trusted authority in electrical and operational safety as you assume vEFK-Responsibility. Your contributions will be instrumental in defining verification means and test cases that meet stringent industry standards, and you'll play a vital role in test analysis and documentation, all within a dynamic aerospace environment.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to:
- specify, plan, and implement test rigs in the required laboratory infrastructure and aerospace drive train applications,
- operate and maintain test rigs for electrical machine testing,
- assume vEFK-Responsibility according to DIN VDE 1000-10 (verantwortliche Elektrofachkraft) or prepare for further vEFK education and take responsibility for electrical and operational safety of the test rigs and laboratories, define verification means and test cases that meet the requirements on subsystem and equipment levels,
- conduct test analysis and document tests primarily on the subsystem and equipment level.
Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role you will need to:
- have an academic degree in aerospace, electrical, or mechatronics engineering, or a technical qualification as an Electrician/Technician in the field of electrical engineering, mechatronics, aerospace, or testing,
- possess practical experience and knowledge about handling high-voltage equipment (DGUV Vorschrift 3 or DIN VDE 0105-100) and relevant standards in the electric industry,
- demonstrate several years of work experience in equipment and component testing, preferably in the aerospace sector, and a very good understanding of electric drive systems, as well as dedicated testing strategies, methods, and standards,
- be experienced in requirements management, test automation, data acquisition, analysis tools, and presentation of results,
- have proficient English language skills, with German proficiency being an asset.
