Job Description
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Avani+ Fares Maldives employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their Team Members. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
- Ensure that you fully understand the business strategy and positioning of the Avani+ Fares Maldives and that you are able to effectively articulate this positioning in the marketplace by producing entertaining or educational material.
- Maintain and contribute all information to any media using digital and offline content catering uniquely to target audience groups.
- Maintain and update a personal up-to-date knowledge on Avani+ Fares Maldives product and service offerings, and the products, services, rates and new developments of key competitors, and an awareness of general industry trends along with Marketing personnel and other members of the department.
- Create various content types (videos, articles, infographics, photographs) with relevant tone and style and adhering to the respective style guides.
- Utilize various digital publishing platforms to create structured drafts, incorporate blog and social media posts in both websites and social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok.
- Collaborating with internal departments to establish campaigns or gain inspiration necessary for themes related to content.
- Suggest new ways to promote the resort offerings and to reach the consumers.
- Liaise effectively with all operational Team Members, providing support and information to ensure accurate delivery of our promise
- Drive opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Avani+ Fares Maldives products
- Maintain a full working knowledge of the IT support tools used in the world of sales today, including sales-specific software, property PMS, the Microsoft Office toolset, Liveroom, photoshop and all other related softwares and apps.
- Ensure that all administration is processed quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications - A bachelor's degree in advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, Integrated Communications or Journalism.
- 2+ years of social media experience required *paid experience encouraged but not necessary.
- Experience working on social campaigns with high-production value and a large volume of assets.
- Proven understanding of social media platforms in terms of content and publishing best practices.
- Emerging mastery of content development and written articles/thought leadership blog content.
- Demonstrated expertise in core MS platforms such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- Presentation skills are a must, with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
- Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with social media reporting and the ability to pull and analyze results with the support of the VP of social media.
- Familiarity with content development best practices and emerging understanding of SEO basics, metadata and AP Style writing.
- Excellent project management and organization skills.
- Collaborative approach/attitude to internal and external relationships, with the ability to work successfully with teams on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Experience using Sprout Social as a publishing and reporting tool
