The Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (HIGH) seeks a research assistant to support several international research projects in the area of global health (for example on adolescent health in Sub-Saharan Africa with a focus on nutrition, mental health and sexual and reproductive health or COVID-19). Administrative support, support with event management and general research activities are also included in the planned tasks. A background or interest in public health would be preferable.

Your Tasks

Supporting research projects (qualitative and quantitative) and project proposals
Support with preparation of intervention design materials
Support with preparation of presentations
Support with event management
Participation in meetings
Literature search and review
Contribution to scientific publications (drafting, preparing figures, tables, references)

Your Profile

Enrolled (Bachelor or Master) student with background in Economics, Public Health, or related areas
Able to work independently and perform his/her tasks accurately and in a structured way
Fluency in English (and German) is required
Good communication skills and willingness to work on projects in a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of standard PC software (particularly MS Office) is a must
Diligence and reliability
Eagerness to learn new skills
