Joining our Climate Expert Team as Sustainability Manager (f/m/x) you would be an elementary part of one of the fastest-growing Climate Tech startups in Europe, with critical responsibility and influence on product and overall venture development.

Within this role you are our first point of contact for Cozero platform users. You are responsible for defining climate commitments, configuring our product, building carbon reduction plans and you deliver meaningful carbon reduction across their value chain.

Tasks

• Carbon accounting: You understand the latest developments for company compliance with accounting standards (GHG Protocol) and reporting requirements (e.g. CDP). You ensure methodology and data alignment with the GHG protocol and a growing number of industry-specific accounting standards.
• Climate data: You contribute to sourcing, structuring, and aligning data sets to Cozero for corporate and product carbon accounting. This includes emission factor data sets, LCA models and climate models.
• Customer support: You advise on customer data collection and analysis, supporting them to achieve complete, accurate and transparent carbon accounting.
• Product development: You consolidate customer and climate science driven requirements for product development initiatives, working closely throughout the full software product development process with the Product Management, Engineering and design teams within Cozero.
• Knowledge sharing: You provide a expert voice to our customers, and develop climate accounting and management education resources.

Requirements

• You understand and have worked with company and product accounting for around 3 years (e.g. the GHG protocol). You have a Bachelor’ and Master’s Degree in Sustainable Management, Climate Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
• You understand carbon accounting standards, reporting standards, carbon regulation and disclosure for business (with a focus on the EU requirements).
• You like working with data - you can fix complex data problems and analyze data to advise companies on climate action. Preference for experience working with and using climate data sets (emission factor databases and LCA software)
• You can work structured & independently in a fast-paced international environment, fluency in German and is highly advisable, our internal working language is English.
