Summary: Reporting to the Senior Vice President: Global Customer Operations. Overall accountable for all activities within the region. Responsible for achieving overall annual revenue and gross margin targets, maintaining one or more Key Accounts within the assigned territory and directing all regional business activities to ensure objectives and customer satisfaction are met.
The Country Manager assumes two major roles:
1. Core role - Lead the business across all revenue streams in region; including accountability for all Account Management for customers and selling all Axcelis products (tools, services, contracts, upgrades, parts, consumables, etc.). In addition, assume direct reporting responsibilities over Global Customer Operations functions for the region. The Core role includes (1) ensuring that Customer Strategies and Operational Plans are developed and executed upon, (2) customer satisfaction is met at the highest possible standard and (3) managing subordinated team(s) either directly or through subordinated managers in all aspects of Human Resources management. The role includes budget responsibility.
2. Applicable only for jobs based outside of US Flex role - Ensure legal compliance and operational excellence in region ("governance") including dual reporting responsibilities across functions like Applications, Finance, IT, HR, etc. The role includes budget responsibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Core role - Head of Customer Operations
(1) Customer Strategy and Operational Plans:
- Develop and implement a regional customer strategy and/or align a global customer strategy to local requirements for all Axcelis products (tools, services, parts, etc.) Develop and implement Account Plans for assigned territory.
- Responsible for growing Axcelis market share of all Axcelis products in assigned territory
- Meet revenue targets for assigned territory
- Lead, direct and control all functions ensuring policies, procedures and activities meet the organization's short and long-term business objectives including market research, sales forecasting, pricing, business development activities, etc.
- Contribute to business planning to develop a strategy that is consistent with the organization's overall mission, vision and long-term objectives
• Establish sales targets for the organization and monitor the performance of the organization against goals • Liaise with others across the organization to ensure that sales and marketing strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the business and align with overall corporate objectives
- Responsible for retaining long-term customer relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Identify products and services that might fit well with customer's business needs and technology roadmaps
- Monitor the country(s)/region(s) competitive environment to identify business threats and opportunities and develop business plans to address them
(2) Driving Customer Satisfaction
- Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with (major) accounts, particularly with top level customer employees who have decision making power such as Corporate Management, Fab Management, Corporate Purchasing, etc.
- Liaise with Axcelis functional owners to ensure customer satisfaction;
- Address customer requirements and finding solutions for non-standard service products for a customer-Axcelis win-win-situation
- Transmit accurately "Voice of the Customer" towards the factory and other Axcelis functions
(3) People Management of assigned team(s)
- Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of Account Managers, Service Managers, Application Engineers to achieve established sales and profit goals
- Manage and develop talent of direct reports; supervise the talent development of the region
- Direct and assist assigned managers and supervisors in all phases of employee supervision and development
(4) Head of Governance in a country/region
- Liaise with Corporate and other heads of region/departments to establish and oversee regional budgets, plans, policies and programs to effectively implement the business strategies and objectives set by Senior Management;
- Set and monitor the performance of the country/region against standards and targets in areas such as administration efficiency, cost control, sales revenue, legal compliance, and human resources management
