Agronomic Research Specialist (f/d/m)

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be an integral member of an international Field-Testing team contributing to the testing operations and logistics to be aligned with the current EU breeding and field-testing strategies. This role requires complete engagement in the trial management for the German, Austrian, Polish, Czech and Baltic networks to deliver high-quality data for product advancement, as well as fostering partnerships and actively seeking new opportunities for engagement across the organization.
Your tasks include:
- Active involvement in the following activities: Field selection, planting operations, trait notation capture, trial maintenance and plot harvest of the testing network of winter oil seed rape and maize
- Optimization and implementation of new phenotyping technologies and digital tools
- Support the Testing Operations Manager in field creation and mapping in our system, quality controlling captured data and administrative tasks including management of operating costs and capital investments, invoices, contracts, orders, and shipments
- Implementation and compliance of Health, Safety and Environment procedures for safe operation of the testing programs and research station
- Equipment management and maintenance for safe, effective, and efficient program operations
- Management of seasonal workers to conduct all testing activities properly and safely
WHO YOU ARE
- You hold a university degree (Master's or Bachelor's) in agricultural sciences or a related field, coupled with several years of experience in agricultural research
- Your background in agronomy is robust, with a preference for experience in the evaluation and characterization of winter oil seed rape (WOSR)
- You consistently demonstrate qualities of leadership, efficiency, flexibility, and integrity in your daily work
- Proficiency in statistics and experimental design is part of your skill set
- You are highly results-oriented, proactive, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Your computer skills encompass MS Office, and you readily adapt to new database applications
- You are proficient in English and German, and you are open to traveling independently, up to 20% of the time
- You hold a B Driving license and are willing to obtain BE, T or CE licenses as necessary
