The Chair of Electronic Devices works in the innovative research field of micro- and nanoelectronics. We research hardware for future applications in energy-efficient electronics, artificial intelligence and quantum technologies. Our experimental research at the interface of engineering and natural sciences deals with innovative materials, new concepts for electronic components and advanced processes for the microelectronics of the future. In this way, we work on solutions for socially relevant topics, such as energy-efficient electronics, environmental sensors or individual health care. Our research is integrated into an international network of renowned universities and industrial partners. - Studies in electrical engineering and information technology, physics, chemistry, materials science or comparable.
- First experience in a clean room laboratory or with electrical measurements is an advantage.
- Knowledge of the programming language MATLAB (or equivalent language) for data evaluation and graphical representation is advantageous.
- Dependability, flexibility, ability to work in a team.
- Independent way of working.
- Solid knowledge of English, knowledge of German is a plus.
- Measurement and/or fabrication of novel electronic devices based on 2D materials or polymers.
- Independent planning and execution of experiments in consultation with the supervisors.
- Evaluation, graphical representation and presentation of results.
The successful candidate will be employed as a student assistant.
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term of 6 months.
Continued employment is desired.
This is a part-time contract position.
The standard weekly hours will be 8 hours.
An extension of the weekly working time up to 19 hours is possible.
The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
The position corresponds to a pay grade of 12,00 € per hour.
