For the Containerships head office in Hamburg we are recruiting an Operations Officer (m/f/d). As part of the Operations department you will ensure the timely and smooth dispatch and best possible utilization of vessels and voyages in each particular port.

Your responsibilities include:
Cargo flow management for designated vessels and voyages together with Containerships' Trade Management

Scheduling of vessels

Arranging port operations with agents and terminals

Information exchange with partner lines externally and internally, arranging empty loading together with respective offices

Stowage planning of vessels between 700 and 1400 TEU nominal

Contact point for terminals and vessels regarding stowage issues

Planning of IMO and OOG cargo

You bring aboard:
Professional education in logistics or shipping

Several years of working experience in an operational department

Preferably experience in stowage planning, but not a must

Strong written and oral command of English is essential, good German language skills are advantageous

Well-structured and goal-oriented working style

Ability to work under pressure

Team player

Willingness to work on weekends - if necessary
