About the role:

This is an exciting hybrid opportunity for an experienced Editor & Public Relations Manager to join our HQ Communications team. As a successful candidate your main responsibilities involve enhancing smart Europe’s reputation across European and Western media.

As the Editor & PR Manager, you will strategically plan topics and oversee the team’s focus on reputation management for the European market. Additionally, you'll manage multiple projects, handling budgeting, and continuously analysing and sharing insights/best practices to drive success.

Your responsibilities:

• You’ll be in charge of building the reputation of smart in the European and Western media

• You lead by example and develop a small team to establish the best reputation of smart Europe

• You manage omni-channel PR from crisis management, product & technology communication, to executive communication and more...

• You support PR launch events such as product premieres, press test drives and ‘TechDays’

• You build and maintain relationships with marketing & PR experts in the European markets and own the European communication strategy and timeline

• You collaborate with cross-functional teams including brand marketing, product management, and digital marketing with the goal of an outstanding earned, owned and paid media output

What you bring along:

• You possess 5+ years of team/ people management experience

• You bring 8+ years of experience in public relations at an agency, publication or OEM

• You bring 3+ years of editing experience

• You have a Bachelors or master’s degree in a Communication related field

• You have a passion for strong brands and affinity to automotive PR

• You are an empathetic leader with great people management skills and experience

• You are a strategic thinker and a strong communicator

• You have international work experience and are fluent in English
