About the job
The Junior Relationship Manager drives long-term relationships with Belgian and Dutch corporate clients, mainly mid-caps, providing tailored solutions to their global needs and generating business opportunities in the different countries where BBVA and the client are present, maximizing portfolio revenues with proper profitability-risk management.
Main responsibilities:
- Oversee the growth and development of a portfolio of corporate clients, understanding their strategic objectives and financial needs.
- Manage the strategic relationship with clients at top management level (CFO, Global Treasurer, etc.), providing financial advice and suitable solutions to their needs.
- Support the global relationship managers to develop the existing portfolio.
- Coordinate the relationship with internal teams such as Risk Department, Legal and product teams –Corporate Lending, Cash Management, Global Trade Finance, Global Markets, DCM, etc.- identifying and addressing clients’ banking needs and cross-sell opportunities.
- Manage the global credit relationship of clients including onboarding, risk & pricing process, ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Identify cross-border opportunities in other countries, working closely with local bankers managing clients’ subsidiaries.
- Participate in business development activities, including client presentations (Investors day, results presentations,...), networking events, and industry conferences.
- Proactively manage prospects and acquire new clients.
