Maintenance Electrician for Offshore Substations in Norden Norddeich bei Orsted

Join us in this role where you’ll make sure that maintenance and fault repair at our offshore substations is always carried out reliably and to high standards. Depending on the situation, you’ll act alternately as an electrician, crane operator, nominated person in control of an electrical installation, or helicopter landing officer, taking responsibility for your own safety, the safety of your colleagues, and the safety of contractor employees.

You’ll be part of Abteilung LV – Service where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure the operation of the Group’s offshore wind farms in the German Bight and ensure a secure power supply 365 days a year in a challenging environment.

As a team, we work closely together, help each other to complete tasks safely, and look out for each other. We value sharing knowledge and experiences across the team ensuring safety is a priority for everyone on the Offshore Substation, both in electrical and other activities. We’re a highly motivated team working with our internal and external colleagues.

You’ll play an important role in:

• carrying out maintenance work on the offshore substations
• ensuring the safety of all persons at the offshore substations
• coordinating, supervising, and instructing personnel at the worksite
• taking responsibility for systems in the low-voltage range
• working offshore in a 14/14 rotation.

To succeed in the role, you:

• have successfully completed training in electrical engineering (EQF Level 5)
• have a very good command of English
• have a very good command of German
• have a high level of safety awareness
• are a strong team player.
