Welcome to Daimler Trucks and Buses! We always strive to advance all those who keep the world moving. Transport is the backbone of our economy and modern life. Without transport, factories would no longer be able to produce anything, supermarkets would not be able to sell products and travel would be unimaginable for people.
Developments such as digitalisation, autonomous driving and e-mobility represent a fundamental transformation of the transport sector, which is constantly presenting new challenges. To ensure a successful future, we rely on close and trusting cooperation – both with our customers and with our globally active team of highly competent and motivated employees.
Would you like to experience the fascination of our industry as part of our team and actively contribute to the success of Daimler Trucks and Buses?
The tasks of the TT/XE division “Trucks & Buses – Engine & Exhaust Gas Aftertreatment” are the continuous optimization and sustaining of our global diesel engine platforms and with an increasing focus, the development of CO2-neutral combustion engines as well.
We contribute to the important customer requirements such as reliability and fuel consumption by providing efficient systems and ensure the compliance of emission legislations including On-Board Diagnostics.
The highly motivated and friendly colleagues look forward to your support.
We attach great importance to communicating with each other on an equal footing, directly and at regular exchange meetings. Constructive and honest discussions between the colleagues are important to us. We work with state-of-the-art technologies and with international project partners in the USA, Brazil, Japan, India and China.
We also support mobile working. With us, you will take responsibility for sub-projects as well as various exciting tasks.
For development tasks related to the H2-ICE (hydrogen combustion engine) as a CO2-neutral technology, we are looking for several reinforcements in the departments of thermodynamics, injection systems, mechanical engineering and design.
We are looking at you as a gasoline engines expert for the following areas:
- Combustion process / gasoline engine controls / turbocharging
- Combustion anomalies / design of robust systems
- Gas injection systems such as Port Fuel and Direct Injection
- Ignition systems
- On-Board/Off-Board Diagnostics
- Mechanical evaluation of hydrogen impact on engine components and engine systems, as well as their design with respect to hydrogen application
- Validation and improvement of hydrogen powertrains at test bench and in vehicle
- Functional Safety
