Post-Doc (m/f/d) in the Field of Aviation Economics: Future
Passenger & Market Developments
Our challenges:
Early detection of changes in passenger travel behavior,
airline market structures and novel business opportunities
within the mobility sector
Development and assessment of multimodal, long-distance
passenger transport options and pathways by emphasizing
EU air-rail cooperation
Identification and assessment of efficiency improvements
on airline operations and network level, supporting
aviation`s pathways towards climate neutrality
Evaluation of implications for the relevant stakeholders
Appropriate utilization of methods and tools (e.g. scenario
studies, strategy frameworks, meta-analyses, surveys, or
data analytics) to derive qualitative and quantitative
assessments
Active contribution within working groups on national and
EU-levels with a focus of user-centric mobility and airline
operations
We need you because:
You are passionate to give scientific answers to create user-
centric mobility and to detect early market structure changes
with relevance to aviation
You have successfully completed your PhD in the area of
economics with a focus on aviation, and experience in airline
operational and network level related research is beneficial
You have expertise in passenger profiling, market analysis
and you feel confident of applying various methods like
scenario approach, meta-analyses, surveys, or data
analytics
You have good analytical, excellent communication and
networking skills
You appreciate to coordinate multi-disciplinary, joint
academic and industry projects and are interested in target-
oriented tasks
You are proficient in English or German
