The Approval Centre Europe (M-SA) within Maritime Ship Classification consists of six production departments, located across three different locations (Gdynia, Hamburg and Oslo (Høvik)). The main delivery from the Approval organization is approval, verification and certification services for different maritime related assets in accordance with our rules and international standards.

We are seeking a skillful, curious and agile Junior Approval Engineer in our Stability & Safety section located in Hamburg, Germany. You will be part of our team of 11 highly qualified engineers, who are responsible for stability and safety approval of Container Ships and Multi-Purpose Vessels.
Tasks/ Responsibilities
As a part of our team you will be involved in our main deliveries and responsibilities, such as
- Approval of all relevant stability documents and reports of Container Ships and Multi-Purpose Vessels, both for newbuildings and fleet in service ships
- Intact and damage stability calculations with NAPA or similar software
- Participation in practice network for ship stability
- Pre contract support for newbuildings and major conversions
- Rule development for Container Ships and Multi-Purpose Vessels
Position Qualifications:
We are looking for a colleague who has:
- An engineering degree (Bachelor or Master) within naval architecture with minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with stability approval of our main ship types (CV, MPV)
- Experience with NAPA
- Optional experience with PIAS
- Preferably experience within longitudinal strength principles
- Ability to handle several projects in parallel
- Willingness to perform business trips to support our clients as well as our worldwide organization

- Good communication skills, verbally and in writing. Preferably good knowledge of German language. Company language is English.
