Technical Consultant in Aachen bei Volue

We are now looking for a Technical Consultant who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission. This entails working in implementation projects with new customers, implementing new requirements for existing customers, working in smaller release update projects, maintain configuration artefacts such as market packages and help our support in troubleshooting production issues. In order to achieve this, you will be working together with your colleagues in the consulting team in Basel and Düsseldorf.

What you will be doing to make a difference:

• Configuration and deployment of business-critical software solutions that are in operational use 24x7
• Technical implementation like scripting, Oracle Service Bus configuration, system setup and system configuration tasks
• Conducting customer training and providing technical support and documentation to customers
• Depending on your skills and qualifications, the role may also be combined with technical account management and other responsibilities in the organization

What you need to succeed:

Mandatory

• Relevant degree from a university or an advanced technical college
• Experience with software delivery projects containing both software and services
• Knowledge and experience with scripting, message exchange formats, web services and other communication protocols
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Advanced English language skills, German language skills is a plus

Considered as advantage

• Experience with Java EE
• Experience with integration middleware
• Experience with Oracle tools - Weblogic, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle RDBMS
• Experience with Microsoft Azure hosting environments
• Experience with software solutions in the field of energy trading and the continuous intraday markets in Europe

The position reports to the Team Lead, Consulting, and cooperates closely with our consulting, development, operations and support teams. We are looking to hire for Volue office in Aachen area but will be ready to consider other locations for the right candidate.
