We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant with a structured work ethic, proficient English skills, and a background in team collaboration. Experience in XR/VR is advantageous as we delve into the development of immersive applications to enhance surgical processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Workflow Analysis Studies:
- Collaborate with the research team to analyze existing clinical workflows and identify opportunities for integration of robotic systems.
- Collect and analyze data from surgical procedures to inform the design and optimization of robotic-assisted workflows.
- Develop VR and AR Applications:
- Utilize expertise in XR/VR technologies to develop immersive applications tailored to the needs of robot-assisted surgery.
- Design and implement VR/AR simulations to facilitate training, surgical planning, and intraoperative guidance.
- HMI Concept Design:
- Contribute to the design of intuitive Human-Machine Interface (HMI) concepts for robotic surgical systems.
- Iterate on HMI prototypes based on user feedback and usability testing to optimize user experience and efficiency.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams including engineers, surgeons, and researchers to achieve project milestones.
- Communicate effectively and contribute ideas during team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of research methodologies, experimental procedures, and results.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and academic publications to disseminate research findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting research studies and working within a structured framework.
- Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Experience in XR/VR development (preferred) with proficiency in relevant programming languages and tools.
