Whats it all about
The Central Europe Finance Team, part of Europe, provides financial planning, analysis and decision support to Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands and Austria. We are the liaison point for finance activities and insights relating to these areas.
2023 will be a critical and exciting time to join the team, as Central Europe executes its strategy to grow its business, launch new products, decrease cash penetration by accelerating the shift to ecommerce and the demand for contactless payments.
This role will be responsible to ensure that Account Executives prepare robust investment proposals pricing packages to be offered by Visa Europe to new and existing customers in the cluster. The role holder will be responsible for anticipating issues with the proposals and ensuring that there is a strong basis for underlying assumptions. It is also expected that, when required, that person will engage directly with the client to clarify the clients’ requirements. The role holder will need to communicate complex client requirements together with portfolio analysis and summary findings to relevant stakeholders in the Cluster, Region and HQ
This is a hands-on role requiring strong commercial acumen with the desire and ability to challenge the status quo to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and performance of the function.
The role holder will be a member of the Finance Team for the CE cluster
What we expect of you
- Apply knowledge of market financials and client economics to deal negotiations
- Help develop and prepare commercial terms and input assumptions
- Support review deal and scenario modelling
- Commercial challenge to AE sales teams and help exploring new financial incentive structures
- Support and develop AEs knowledge of deal financials
- Ensure financial integrity of contracts
- Supports CIA accounting, incentive forecasts, actuals and budget including variance comments
- Track deals’ performance and organize timely payments to clients
- Understand and analyse client profitability and deal performance
- Provide ad-hoc analysis on deals, clients, markets and competition
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
