Your responsibilities

• Build Uniper’s Green Power Portfolio business as a pivotal commercial pillar of Uniper’s sustainability efforts and product offerings
• Develop, implement and drive a strategy for the significant growth of low carbon power product offerings – drawing on Uniper’s low carbon Nuclear, Hydro and Renewable generation and adding significant additional green power via PPAs
• Drive significant growth in Uniper’s Renewable PPA portfolio – scaling up existing operations across Europe
• Collaborate and co-ordinate with Origination, Sales and Trading teams to deliver significant profitable business growth
• Commercially steer enabling functions required to develop a strong and scalable operating platform
• Deliver best-in-class portfolio management and P&L results for Uniper’s Green Power portfolio across different business models, technologies, geographies, tenors and products
• Ensure end-to-end profitability and comprehensive risk management
• Manage important stakeholder relationships and business interfaces across Uniper
• Build, lead and motivate a diverse team, commercially accountable for the steering and management of Uniper’s Green Power portfolio
• Manage all aspects of team performance

Your profile

• Ideally educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject: e.g. engineering, economics, mathematics; additional commercial management qualification advantageous
• Highly self-motivated and with entrepreneurial mindset in building business
• Extensive experience in areas of trading, origination, optimization and portfolio management, with significant P&L responsibility
• Proven ability to succeed in a sales and flow trading environment with demonstrable track record of managing interface
• Excellent commercial awareness and detailed knowledge of physical and financial energy markets, credit risk frameworks as well as energy market rules and regulations
• Awareness of decarbonization requirements and solutions for utilities as well as industrial customers advantageous
• People management experience and successful track record in a commercial environment
• Intercultural effectiveness – targeted communication, steering and influencing at all levels of the organization in an international environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills – demonstrated ability to link, build, motivate and moderate virtual teams across organizational boundaries
• Awareness of quantitative methods and IT applications for optimization & trading
• Fluent in English is essential; other EU language would be appreciated; German is an advantage
