OVERVIEW: Valiant is looking for an experienced Events Coordinator / Operations Specialist to join our professional team at Grafenwoehr Training Area (GTA), Germany providing support to the Mission Training Complex Capabilities Program (MTCCS).
JOB SUMMARY: This position works under the supervision of the Program Manager but works directly with the customer in an independent fashion. The Event Coordinator works under the supervision of the JMSC Chief of Operations or designated representative. This full-time position performs the coordination of events at the JMSC level in order to synchronize and deconflict the planning, preparation, execution and recovery activities of all aspects of JMSC-wide operations and other related tasks as required by the JMSC Chief of Operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the coordination process of all JMSC events for all JMSC locations.
- Manage the JMSC Master Event Calendar (MEC) as the primary system of record for the status of events throughout their lifecycle of
planning, preparation, execution, recovery and after-action processes.
- Facilitate the necessary synchronization and de-confliction of events that may compete with any given resource limitation to include but not
limited to facilitation oversight of key JMSC work flows as required per event.
- Manage and implement the JMSC MEC standard operating procedure (JMSC MEC SOP).
- Manage and implement other event and task management processes related to JMSC operations as required.
- Provide quality control of the JMSC MEC and related tools and processes as required.
- Interact with government and contractor personnel primarily within the JMSC organization and supporting industry elements.
- May conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation to the Program Manager, staff and government
clients
- Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction
- Set up and coordinates meetings and working groups.
- Other duties as assigned by Program Manager
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience or an associates degree and seven years of relevant
experience.
- Must possess at least an interim U.S. secret clearance with the ability to obtain a full U.S. secret clearance.
Qualified candidates may receive an interim U.S. secret clearance with a waiver from JMSC.
- Must be computer literate and especially proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work well either alone or as an active and contributing participant of a team.
