We are looking for you as a working student for our Northwave Germany team in Leipzig. Our office is located in the north of Leipzig.

Your mission

As office manager, you take care of our Leipzig office. You are responsible for facility matters such as:

ordering office supplies, drinks and snacks
welcoming visitors
handling the mail
coordination of external partners, e.g. cleaning company, coffee and fruit supplier
reminding your colleagues to keep the office clean and tidy ;-)

You also organize team events and support our central department in the Netherlands with the onboarding and offboarding of
German colleagues. You are the good fairy (all genders) of our Leipzig office.

As we are moving into a larger office across the street next year, there will certainly be a lot to do in the months to come. We look forward to you growing with us.

What you can expect from us

Contract

You will be given an employment contract with flexible working hours. Therefore, your working hours will always be coordinated in consultation with you and taking your semester schedule into account. We also offer you an attractive hourly wage (above the minimum wage) and six weeks' holiday per year.

Equipment

Our office is equipped with Apple devices, height-adjustable desks and a fridge that is always stocked with cold drinks - if you place the order at Flaschenpost ;-). Oh yes, and there's regular Northwave merch, as well as cakes and Dutch caramel waffles.

Team

At Northwave, you will be part of an international team of more than 230 security enthusiasts who are happy to share their knowledge and look forward to support, e.g. at the company run or the pub quiz. In Germany, we are still in the process of being established - so this is your chance to help shape the future.

Perspectives

You can already gain work experience during your studies. In the DACH region, we are currently still under construction - literally. We are currently building a new headquarters. We will be happy to support you with your thesis and discuss your entry and career opportunities at Northwave.

The most important thing for us is that you fit into the team and are keen to help shape and advance Northwave. Of course, we also have a few technical requirements for this position.

Education

You are studying economics, tourism management, event management or similar. Also, if you are studying something completely different and are not quite sure yet, where this will take you. This might be a good opportunity to gain experience.

Knowledge and experience

You have already gained some working experience, e.g. during an internship or a vocational training. You should be familiar with common Microsoft Office applications and not be afraid to take over tasks.

Other strengths

You have an independent and structured way of working. You speak good to very good German and English. And most importantly, you are enthusiastic about working with an inspiring crowd of cyber security enthusiasts.
